We aim to bring back a towing fee cap of $150 to the City of Denton. The tow companies of Denton have been preying on its citizens, renters, homeowners, workers, and visitors alike.

Bringing back our cities After-School program is a top priority. Working parents deserve to have quality, affordable, child care. No matter what.

We plan to invest in black culture and turn City Hall West into a Black arts center. In 1922, racists destroyed a Black neighborhood for the benefit of local capitalists. People's lives were ruined. It's time to fix the mistakes of the past and bury the legacy of the Klan. It's time to finish the mission of Reconstruction. It's time for reparations.

Kris Cox proudly stands against the capitalist conventional wisdom that AI development is “inevitable” and that communities simply need to lay down and deal with the consequences. Not only does he support the 180-day moratorium allowed by state law, he would like to pursue ways to remove the current data centers as well. AI devastates the environment, steals jobs, and is only pushed now so companies like X and Google can make profits. Kris opposes all AI infrastructure in Denton- including KrateoSky, the AI-powered military drone factory due to open in Denton later this year. The weapons KrateoSky makes will be sold by the U.S. and used by dictatorships and genocidal governments abroad. Dentonites should not have the blood of innocents on their hands. We should not be party to the war machine. Kris supports immediately revoking the $900,000 in tax incentives city council provided to KrateoSky. Kris is also opposed to AI-driven Flock cameras in Denton. Flock is an invasive government program that gives more surveillance power to the police. It's time we put the brakes on this creeping police state. Kris will support any move to sever the city’s contract with Flock. Socialism means working people should have a say in how emerging technologies are used and Kris believes they should never be used to benefit wealthy corporations at the expense of the working class.
