FOR THE REST OF US
IN DENTON

We are fighting for a Denton that works for everyone. Our campaign is dedicated to housing reform, renter protections, and empowering the working class to build a brighter future together.

Hi, I’m Kris. I’m a UNT graduate and former Denton Parks and Recreation worker. When the city quietly shut down its after-school program, I saw firsthand how quickly working families get left behind. Since then, I’ve spent years helping people in District 1 access food, clothing, and basic resources when City Hall failed to step up.

I’m running because District 1 deserves real representation.
Developers and landlords already have a voice at City Hall. Working people deserve one too. I’m running to make sure the people living these problems have someone fighting for them.

Who does City Hall actually work for?

Renters get hit with hidden fees. The city shut down its after-school program after promising it wouldn’t. Meanwhile, the people with power at City Hall keep looking out for developers and landlords, not working families.

Our Fight

We are fighting to ensure that Denton remains a home for its working class residents. Our mission centers on expanding municipal housing initiatives and implementing robust renter protections to prevent displacement as our city grows.

By treating housing as a fundamental human right, we strive to build a fair, affordable, and equitable future where everyone — regardless of income — can thrive in the community they help sustain.

Facing Denton’s Most Urgent Challenges

Municipal Housing & Renter Security

We are fighting to ensure Denton remains accessible for everyone. By advocating for municipal housing expansion and robust renter protections, we aim to end the displacement of working families and stabilize our neighborhoods.

Advocating for the Working Class

The backbone of Denton is its workforce. We stand for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to organize. Our campaign is dedicated to shifting the power back to the people who build and sustain our city every day.

Transparent Local Governance

We believe policy should serve residents, not private developers. We are pushing for radical transparency in municipal decisions and infrastructure projects that prioritize long-term community value over corporate interests.
